A butterfly clip;

A wide-toothed comb;

Shampoo and conditioner;

Step One

First of all, use a rat tail comb to section off your hair so that the work area can be visible, and then use the butterfly clip to set aside any unwanted hair.

Step Two

Use the fingertips to find the ends gently along the ridges or seams of the hair extension and then carefully place the tips of scissors underneath the threads to spread the thread from the hair and cut. Repeat this process until the entire thread is unraveled.


Step Three

When the thread is completely loose, use a hand to secure the natural roots to the scalp to prevent breaking or damaging the natural hair, then at the same time use another hand to gently pull the extension away from the scalp in the opposite direction to untie the sewing thread. Continue the step until all thread and hair extensions are removed from the braid.

Step Four

How To Remove Taped Or Glued In Extensions

There are some simple steps about how to remove tape in hair extensions at home

Step One

Firstly, use a clip or hair tie to separate your hair into workable sections.

Step Two

Find the hair extensions part on your hair and apply the oil to the extension tape and leave the oil on tape for at least 10 to 15 minutes; That is because that oil will help break up any glue, tape, or chemical bond. You can apply coconut, almond, olive, or baby oil according to your preference.


Step Three

After 10-15 minutes, rinse your hair thoroughly, then apply conditioner to between the roots and the tape or glue. Next, use a towel to wrap your head and wait for 20 minutes to remove the remaining oil.

Step Four

Rinse with water, and repeat the step until all the tape or glue is absolutely removed.

How To Remove Clip-in Extensions
