How To Install A Lace Closure

Hair closures are added to the top or sides of your hair or hair weave and can be parted to whatever side after putting them on your crown so that is why they always look great and natural. The advantages to using hair lace closures are that they always look realistic and some are arranged with baby hair at the front to simulate the growing of your natural hairline. They cause minimum or no damage on your natural hair and hence are a danger free addition.

The most conventional way to install a lace closure is to sew or glue it on. Not everyone is familiar with closures or has even heard of them, so UNice Mall brings to you a way to install the lace closure.

First, lay the closure over your braids and line it up with the hairline. This way you will know how much of the extra lace need to cut off. Then use hair clips to pin the lace closure in place before you sew it down.

Next, cut off the extra lace, careful not to cut too close to the hair line. Then tease some of your own baby hairs and push them just in front of the lace closure. Then proceed to sew my closure to the braids.

Make sure you sew the closure down tight and flat. If it’s loose, it won’t look right. Always check and make sure the closure isn’t twisting out of place while you are sewing it down.

Finally make finishing touches that help the front closure blend better. First color the front lace near the hairline with black eyeliner. Then apply foundation or concealer to the lace in the parting. Then bring it down past the lace and blend right at your hairline. Then use edge control to 'part' hair. This extends the part from the closure to your own hairline.
