Did you know that most human hair wigs have a lifespan of just one year or two years? But instead of throwing them away, you can now recycle them and make a positive impact on our planet! Through our collaboration, UNice Hair will donate hair to Matter of Trust to help clean up oil spills and protect our oceans. We are also committed to establishing a channel to collect and recycle used hair extensions or processed wigs giving you the opportunity to give back to our planet and earn rewards at the same time.

What is Hair Donation?

Hair donation involves individuals willingly cutting off their hair and sending it to organizations that specialize in creating wigs for people experiencing hair loss. The donated hair is used to make wigs for cancer patients, individuals with alopecia, and others who have lost their hair due to medical conditions or treatments.

And through Matter Of Trust hair donation program, you can also donate your excess hair, fur, and/or fleece to soak up major oil spills and help keep storm drains and waterways clean!!!

How to Donate Hair?

Before donating your hair, it's essential to take a few preparatory steps to ensure the hair is in the best condition for donation. Here are some guidelines to follow:

Research hair donation organizations:

Look for reputable organizations that accept hair donations and align with your values.

Determine the hair length requirement:

Check the specific length requirements of the organization you choose, as different organizations may have varying guidelines.

Schedule a haircut:

Make an appointment with a professional hairstylist who is experienced in hair donation. Discuss your intentions with them so they can accommodate the donation process.

Cleanse and condition your hair:

Prior to the haircut, wash and condition your hair with gentle products to ensure it is clean and healthy.

Matter Of Trust Org is currently accepting fiber donations from everywhere. 100% debris-free (pure fiber, zero trash), at least 1 inch (3cm) long, and there's always a need for ponytails that are 4 inches (10cm) or longer in a separate envelope or box.

The Organization also has a database of donors so they can reach out during emergency oil spills (we never spam, sell, or share this list - it's a Matter of Trust), so thank you for signing up!
